1. Rolling Shutters:

• What is the warranty on the Nautilus Rolling Shutters? They have a limited 5-year warranty.
• What is the typical life of a Rolling Shutter? They can last anywhere for 15-25 years.
• How do I open my Rolling Shutter after a Hurricane? We add manual overrides to all of our shutters so you can manually open them after a storm.
• When should I do Annual Maintenance on my roll up? We recommend doing so after your warranty expires.

        2. Bahama Shutters:

• How do you lock down a Bahama shutter on a window that you can't access from the ground? Impact Bahamas have a pin-latch on the bottom so that you can close it from inside of your window.
• How much visibility will I lose with a Bahama Shutter? We would say that you lose approximately 75% of your visibility from inside your home.
• Can you get the arms powder coated to match the Bahama? Yes, you can for an additional charge.

         3. Colonial Shutters:

• How do you lock a Colonial shutter? They have C- Chanel Bars that attach with screws on the back side of the shutter. 
• Are there different styles of louvers? Yes, we offer Board and Batten and traditional HD Deco blades.

         4. Crimsafe:

• What is the warranty? They offer a 10-year limited warranty
• Can you open the screens from the inside of your home? Yes, you can purchase Safe-Scape screens that allow you to exit your home in case of a fire or emergency.
• What color options are available? The screens are only offered in black. You can customize the trim around the screens in White, Bronze, or Sand.

         5. Accordions: 

• What holds the Accordions back when you are not using them? They come with velcro straps that are attached to the sides to keep them from making noise in the wind.
• How far do accordions stick off your home? They stand off 6 3/4 inches from the face of your home.
• Can you lock them from the inside? Yes. 

         6. Hurricane Fabric:

• What color options are available? They only offered in a resin coated tan color.
• Can you leave the panels installed for long periods time? It is not recommended to keep the Hurricane Fabric up for extended periods of time. 
• Can I use a drill to attach the screws? We don't advise using a drill because you could cross thread the screws into the fasteners in your home. Always use a hand screwdriver.
